Julia Gillard & Bob Brown’s Carbon Tax – Inflicting pain on the Consumer
After reading an article in the Courier Mail this morning, I decided to update mine that I wrote last year on the Future Cost of Living Increases that we would be subjected to under the Carbon Tax. As time has progressed we find that many Countries may be introducing a Carbon Tax at much lower rates, in fact as little as $3 per tonne and because Bob Brown and his Green Party have Julia Gillard by the throat on balance of power we will be again subjected to some of the highest taxes in the world. In addition, we have gone through 2 years if disasters with Flooding, Fire and Cyclones, and this will result in us, the consumers paying the cost. In addition there are other Taxes like the Mining Tax, which we are told that we will all benefit from, and the Politicians in power say it is for our own good. Coupled to the fact the volume of lies that emanate from these people, no wonder we have become sceptical in anything that they say.
With Carbon Tax at $23 per tonne, we as consumers are going to pay. The people on fixed incomes, pensioners, and welfare recipients, will feel these increases the most. And the government will profit another 10% along the way in GST revenue, again the consumer pays. Even the Unions recognise this want compensation for the increased costs in the future inflicted on us by the Carbon Tax.
There is an old saying that I first read many years ago as a child “There are Three Kinds of lies - Lies, Damned Lies and Statistics”, and the powers that be love quoting their saddened statistics to us all of the time, do I trust them - NO
Despite what the Government paid advisors tell us, our carbon output relates to some 0.000001% of the total of world carbon emissions, a drop in the ocean so why do we need it, unless the whole world does the same. Have a look at the table below
